Laser Skin Resurfacing

Contact Us TodayThe exposed areas of skin, like the face and hands, suffer an incredible amount of damage from daily exposure to UV rays and pollution, as well as from the natural effects of time and gravity. Laser skin resurfacing harnesses the power of light to stimulate the body’s own healing capacity, reverse the visible signs of that damage, and restore the skin’s youthful, natural glow. At Creekside Medical Spa, we offer two of the most advanced laser resurfacing workstations on the market today—the SmartSkin+ä CO2 Fractional Laser System and the Icon™ Aesthetic System—allowing our staff to design both ablative and non-ablative treatment procedures to target acne-prone, scarred, aging, weathered, and sun-damaged skin.

Laser resurfacing works by delivering targeted light wavelengths deep into the skin, stimulating the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin, as well as encouraging the growth of new, undamaged, healthy-looking skin. Laser skin resurfacing is an excellent treatment for individuals seeking to:

Minimize the appearance of acne
Reduce the visibility of minor scarring due to surgery , acne, or pregnancy
Improve the appearance of wrinkles and lines around the eyes and mouth
Treat pigmentation problems such as melasma, age spots, liver spots, and sun spots
Create an even skin tone by correcting blotchiness and uneven coloring
Reduce the appearance of enlarged pores
Revitalize the arms, hands, and décolletage

Creekside Medical Spa is equipped with two state-of-the-art laser resurfacing workstations that offer our patients a wide range of different treatment options, ensuring that each patient receives exactly the treatment required to address his or her unique aesthetic concerns.

For patients with severe skin damage, the SmarkSkin+ä CO2 laser resurfacing system is one of the most powerful resurfacing tools available today. The SmartSkin+ä CO2 laser instantly removes the outer, most damaged layers of skin, and creates microscopic columns of ablation across the target area stimulating the growth of new collagen fibers and new, healthy skin. Ablative laser resurfacing is a minimally-invasive procedure, but it does require some downtime (usually 1-2 weeks).

Patients with less severe scarring and skin damage may prefer a non-ablative laser treatment, available with the Icon™ Aesthetic System, in which the layers of skin are carefully and safely heated to stimulate collagen growth. The Icon™ Aesthetic System has a unique Skintel Melanin Reader™ to give the technician greater guidance and control, while the system’s Advanced Contact CoolingTM ensures a constant temperature for maximum comfort and skin protection. This treatment is gentler on the skin, carries less risk of unintended side effects, and has minimal downtime. Multiple treatment sessions are usually required to maximize results.

Laser resurfacing treatments must be as unique as our patients themselves. During your initial consultation, our experienced aesthetic team will review your medical history, carefully discuss your concerns and goals, and develop an individualized treatment program aligned with your needs, allowing you to achieve the beautiful, refreshed results you deserve!
